DESCRIPTION:The 2026 Ann B. McGowan Maine Writers Series and the Pittsfield Public Library are proud to present an evening with local Maine writer Debra Colby. Debra has written in multiple genres\, from novels to nonfiction. She is a life-long Maine resident with her formative years spent in Newport. A graduate of Nokomis Regional High School\, Deb is the author of five books and is currently working on the third and final installment of the Madison and Boudreaux saga\, two families who were first introduced to readers in Deb’s first novel\, 7 Days.\n\nDeb’s short stories have appeared in national and state publications. She is also an accomplished essayist and poet whose work has been featured in literary compilations and state competitions.\n\nDebra will have her works available for sale and signing at the event\, which is free and open to the public.
