DESCRIPTION:Come join us for fun evening playing contemporary (“European style”) board games. We typically have 2-3 games going at any point\, ranging from classics like Wingspan or Catan to the newest Kickstarter.\n\nWe meet from six to eight (or later)\, and welcome players new and old. Bring a favorite game to teach or come ready to learn a new one.\n\nOne weekend a month is a family game night\, open to anyone 12 and up. Bring a family favorite game to share! Our 18+ group meets the other Wednesdays during the month.

DESCRIPTION:Getting older?  Feeling unsteady on your feet for any reason?  Join Melissa Parsons of HealthySV as she covers some of the basics of fall prevention that will benefit anyone with a fear of falling.  She’ll also discuss a multi-week class that emphasizes practical strategies to reduce a fear of falling and increase activity levels.  Participants learn how to view falls and fear of falling as controllable\, set realistic goals to increase activity\, change their environment to reduce fall risk factors\, and exercise to increase strength and balance.

DESCRIPTION:Spend some time with Maine State Museum educators at the Pittsfield Public Library during February school vacation! The All About Birds! program will be held on Friday Feb. 23\, from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm. This free family event is jam packed with hands-on activities inspired by our feathered friends. We will build nests\, match beaks\, fold origami\, and more! \nDesigned for kids K-12\, parental supervision required for K-Grade 4. No registration required. You can fly in at any point and rotate through the activities. \nThe Maine State Museum seeks to share what is meaningful about Maine and its place in the world\, in order to inspire people to discover Maine’s past\, understand its present\, and imagine its future. The Museum\, located in Augusta\, is currently closed for massive building repairs.
